Dr. Marshall Lucas, MD. Dr. Marshall Lucas, MD
Dr. Lucas is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and The University of Texas Medical School in Houston. He completed his psychiatric residency in Houston as well as fellowships in child and adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Lucas entered private practice in 1995. He is triple board certified by the ABPN in adult, child, adolescent and addiction psychiatry. In addition to his outpatient practice, Dr. Lucas is Medical Director of Cypress Creek Hospital where he also treats those in need of a more acute level of care.

Dr. Lucas is the principal investigator for numerous clinical trials at Family Psychiatry of The Woodlands including trials for Autism, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Pain, Schizophrenia and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Dr. Lucas leads a multi-disciplinary research team that includes individuals with academic training and experience in nursing, biology and clinical psychology. Dr. Lucas and his research team have received accolades and recognition for their professionalism and dedication to scientific discovery by industry leaders in biomedical and pharmaceutical industries.

Dr. Michael Goldsby, Ph.D., CCRP. Dr. Michael Goldsby, Ph.D., CCRP
Dr. Goldsby is the Director of Clinical Research at Family Psychiatry of The Woodlands. Michael Goldsby earned a BS in Kinesiology at Texas A&M University, with post-graduate studies at Eastern Washington University, and Capella University where he earned a Master’s Degree in Family Psychology and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Goldsby is a Certified Clinical Research Professional and is a member of the Society of Clinical Research Associates. He completed his clinical psychology residency in neuropsychology with emphasis on psychological testing. He has over 20 years of clinical psychology experience as Director of Adjunctive Therapy in three psychiatric hospitals in Texas, as well as in private psychiatric clinics and research facilities in Houston. Dr. Goldsby also served as Clinical Regulatory Director for a global medical device company and has extensive experience working with the FDA in Washington, D.C. on clinical trials development.

Dr. Goldsby has over 45 publications as an expert book reviewer for an authoritative book review company for newly published health sciences books from the APA, Oxford University Press, and Guilford Press, as well as many other publishers. He has been keynote speaker at clinical trials investigator meetings for Bristol-Myers Squibb and other leading pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Goldsby has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the American Diabetes Association / Brazos Valley Affiliate, as well as a board member of the College Station Athletic Federation / Texas A&M University.

Kalea Buzbee RN, BSN.Kalea Buzbee RN, BSN
Kalea is a clinical research nurse with almost 20 years of psychiatric experience in both private practice and inpatient settings. This experience includes not only the nursing care of the mentally ill but also utilization review, practice development at a large private psychiatric practice in Houston, nursing supervisor roles and research. Kalea earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Houston Baptist University in 1994 and began coordinating clinical trials in 1997. During this time Kalea was responsible for the successful start and completion of over 20 psychiatric clinical trials. In 2003, an opportunity for a career change arose and Kalea became a pharmaceutical sales representative for Pfizer and was responsible for the marketing and sales of the Roerig Division’s medications which included Zoloft and Geodon. In January of 2012, Kalea joined Family Psychiatry of the Woodlands as a Clinical Research Nurse.

Sue Goldsby, RN, BC. Sue Goldsby, RN, BC
Sue Goldsby is a Certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Registered Nurse Coordinator at Family Psychiatry of The Woodlands. Sue has been a Registered Nurse since 1995 and with advanced training was awarded the title of Board Certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse by The American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is a current member of the Society of Clinical Research Associates and is currently working toward certification as a Clinical Research Professional. Sue began her career as a Charge Nurse at Cypress Creek Psychiatric Hospital where she administered direct care to adult and pediatric patient populations, and later advanced her career in specialized clinical research settings as a Research Nurse Coordinator for pharmaceutical sponsored clinical trials. Sue has been a member of the clinical trials research team at Family Psychiatry of The Woodlands since April 2011.

Stacey Sullivan, PMHNP-BC. Stacey Sullivan, RN, MSN, PMHNP-BC
Stacey Sullivan obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Abilene Christian University in 2006 and earned her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas in Arlington in 2011. She is a Board Certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Prior to obtaining her graduate degree, Mrs. Sullivan was a medical-surgical registered nurse for five years in the Dallas/Fort Worth region. She now works to establish treatment plans and medication management in children, adolescents, and adults. Mrs. Sullivan also has a role in clinical trials performing various rating scales, physical exams, and venous punctures. She has extensive experience in autism evaluation including certification in ADI-R and ADOS assessment. Mrs. Sullivan also conducts transcranial magnetic stimulation consultations, which is now considered a first line treatment for major depression. She is a member of the Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurses of Houston, American Nurses Association, The American Psychiatric Nurses Association, and Sigma Theta Tau International.

Lauren Kitchens, MA, LPC. Lauren Kitchens, MA, LPC
Lauren is a Clinical Research Coordinator with over 10 years of psychiatric experience in a variety of mental health settings including acute inpatient, residential care, private practice, and outpatient services. Lauren began her education at Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She went on to earn a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at UH - Clear Lake and is certified as a Licensed Professional Counselor.

Lauren has worked as a research counselor on clinical trials at UT Center for Neurobehavioral Research on Addiction and her background is heavily concentrated in addictions research with comorbid psychiatric diagnosis. She started her training in psychiatric care at The Menninger Clinic working as a Mental Health Associate with adolescent patients struggling with affective and personality disorders. She completed her internship at UT Harris County Psychiatric Center conducting diagnostic psychological assessments and crisis intervention counseling with adult and forensic populations. Lauren also has experience working in Utilization Review. Lauren joined Family Psychiatry of The Woodlands in March of 2016.
